Visiting missions groups are very important to Palmer Home for
Children. They provide needed skills and manpower that is invaluable
to our operation. 2006 has been a great year for us. By the
end of September we will have had over 450 people from various churches
and states visit and work to make Palmer Home a better place. We are
thankful to all the people that volunteered their time, talents and
resources to help improve our campuses.
Some of the many projects and activities they did for us are:
Vacation Bible Schools and Worship/Bible Studies with the children.
Painting in many of the cottages and support buildings.
Landscaping at many of the cottages and support buildings.
Built new shelves in several cottages.
Built a new storage shed for Kelly home at the Sheriffs' Boys
Ranch.
Volunteered many hours at the thrift store sorting donations and
organizing the store.
Remodeled the guest apartments at the gym.
Repaired green houses and worked at the orchard and garden.
