Young Eagles Program
On November 7th, 2009 members of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) invited many of the children from the Columbus and Ranch campuses to experience aviation and fly in a plane as part of the "Young Eagles" program at the Lowndes County Airport. Young Eagles is a program designed to let children ages 8-17 learn more about aviation and take a ride in an actual plane. You can find out more about Young Eagles by visiting their website @ http://www.youngeagles.org/
The children had a great time and enjoyed the flights, spending time with the pilots, as well as the hamburger lunch. Thanks to everyone that made this possible.
